Today we replaced a tarter on this 2004 Oldsmobile Alero. its similar to a bunch of cars from 2000-2009. Like the Chevy Cavalier, Saturn Ion, Chevy Cobalt, HHR,Chevy Malibu and maybe a few others. Simple procedure. Remove negative battery cable. Remove dust cover. 2 15mm bolts and a 10mm ground wire and 13mm power wire. You can get top bolt from the bottom or the top of the car. If from the bottom simply use an extension, if from the top then remove air intake hose and MAF sensor. Good Luck! Thanks for watching! Love you guys!

I have a question all my dashboard lights light up but it will not turn over I hera humming but no crank might it be my starter?

I'm going to leave my battery charging all night long. Remove the negative cable. And try again. And see if it's the starter. If it starts easy and it's probably the battery if it does not then I think it's the starter

joeh690 says:

Not sure if I have the same issue. I thought it was my battery at first period or a parasitic drain. After a couple of starts of grinding noise. It'll start. Also will that take out a lot of voltage from the battery from trying to start.
