D FOX AUTO says:

Why would you not just replace the entire arm? Its much easier and a lot
less drama.

Will C says:

@ 6:45″This one dont want to go in like they usually do”

Thats when I yell out f***ing GM. It might not be GMs fault it wont go in
but at least I feel better blaming GM for it not fitting right. Especially
when they put bolts in spots where u cant get any tools in there to remove
them!

Richard Miller says:

Just bang a rubber mallet on the damn thing

Crankous says:

Note to self……. do not take my car to Professional Fleet Auto…. end
note.

PanHustej says:

What I would be more concerned about rather then brake line is bushing
opposite that is still connected while the end at the front is being
preyed..

James Buttery says:

Sure you can, pry up the arm and place a screw jack underneath it.

Auzzybear32 says:

New brake line too I guess?

antcanon94 says:

You left the caliper hanging by the brake line. NO NO NO!!!!!!!

MidniteAuto12 says:

It takes them 15 minutes to this, but charge you book time for the job, of
how the right to do it, which could be any where from 2 hours to 3 hours
per side and at a avg shop around $100 a hour ? So who is really getting
screwed ? People watch all these How To Videos and next time you get work
done on your car, remember it really didn’t take them what they charged
you, but sometimes it does, and sometimes it takes more then book time and
some places will not charge you more. Its a give & take

evgenk says:

And why not use the proper tool for the job (the press) to begin with?

43cigary says:

WTG Sam….this presents all sides of replacing the bushing and what
happens when it becomes a PIA…you showed how to get around it by using
varying ways to get an obstinate bushing back in…some are easy while
others just won’t want to budge. A press isn’t something a back yard
mechanic usually keeps in his garage unless he does more than a few
replacements. Thanks for the video.

freezerlunik says:

Is that caliper dangling by the brake line and nothing else?

Sean Hennessey says:

Excellent job. You are aware you accidentally left the caliper hanging by
the hose.

Yicheng Wang says:

new bushing position?

Bru Review says:

Does a toyota 2005 Camry with a damaged bushing only be replaced with a
complete new control arm?

burninrubber214 says:

this is a money maker working flat rate

ThePariss333 says:

Is that your car o a customer car? I saw you leaving the caliper hanging by
the brake hose in many video. Why you treat a car like that? Why you don’t
take care and responsible with your work? You look like my co-workers,
irresponsible, unconsciousness, evil, messed. Its not your video or your
teaching or knowledge, is your behaviour

Sam Postema says:

You can’t if it’s on a hoist hanging in the air plus its still attached to
the ball joint and rear bolt so it is nearly level when its installed.

Liz Costa says:

Any idea if this method works in a Chrysler PT Cruiser….We all know how
difficult Chrysler likes to be…

pkaffe says:

And you should also clip up the brake caliper so that it soen’t hang in the
hose to avoid damaging the brake caliper hose.

hilk butch says:

sam you got old dude

April Cordon says:

thanks for showing this my dealership said it would hve taken them around
4-5 hours to do this and you just did it in less than 30 minutes, i don’t
have all the tools to do this but atleast I can tell who ever is fixing it
that it shouldn’t take more than an hour to fix

slayer11231973 says:

Why didn’t you put a socket on the bushing? They go in evenly and more
equal pressure all the way around…If you don’t want to use a socket you
can use a piece of pipe that has flat stock welded on one end…Have all
different sizes in my shop just for things like this.(And yes I know
sometimes you have no choice to use a press)

ThePunkin100 says:

I’m glad that things don’t always work out. It was nice to see both ways on
how to put the bushing back in. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!

Bill Arnold says:

I think you should of jacked up the control arm to level position before
tightening.

skweekah says:

Great job guys. Love the air hammer. That thing is a beast.

MsCertifiedgangsta says:

What kind of video camera are you using? Nice video

clownman90 says:

on control arm

spelunkerd says:

Sam Postema says:

ragerian1 says:
