Just the fact that there is even a video of someone doing an internal transmission repair gives me the coinfidence to do the same. Thank you for taking the time to film this. I do have a 4T65-e on a 2003 monte carlo and I’ve removed the small diff and replaced it with the HD diff. Thats as crazy as I got. I am hopeing to install a gear conversion kit soon along with a single chain setup for better acceleration and durability and this definately helped. Thank you sir.

Had to get it done. Did the job and was pretty sore the next day. It wasn’t my favorite job, it was messy and time consuming. But it works fine now and I didn’t have to replace the whole transmission. So I saved time and money. Always a plus!

hows your back?? any job on the floor kills man. Your a determined individual to do a job like this on the floor, esp on these shitboxes (no offense).
I’m actually having to do this all over again. Forgot to put in a thrust washer in place right. When it went into 3rd gear the engine would just rev. So, had to get new parts. Hopefully this will fix it this time the right way. Worst part is, I’ve had to get a rental car for a week while I wait for the parts to arrive. FML! I’m bummmed. I’ll add annotations if once I fix it, the trans works correctly.
