IAM2THEASSASSIN says:

Sean Homan says:

Is the check engine light on?

xXTHECARGUYXx says:

It’s not the car, It’s the engine. Those 3400’s are notorious for that
shit. Had similar problems myself with these pieces of shit…

Roy Christian Tugbang says:

Dude, the exact same thing happened to me this past wednesday. 🙁 We
actually had to get rid of the car..

nbenne40 says:

i had my intake done once and then again a week after, because it was not
done correctly. Now the engine misfires and has a check engine code for
cylinder 3 misfire. I have never had more trouble with a car, than with
this peice of GM shit.

G Thatcher says:

leesha812000 says:

OMG I have the same problem right now with the same car 99 Oldsmobile!!!

dennis wheeler says:

I need to add transmission fluid to the same car and am having don’t know
what to do. Only have 41,000 miles on it (grandma car) how do I do it for
this car????? Help please!!!!!

MichaelAdamsRocks says:

@HondaRidin1991 Haha! That’s funny. My brother ended up having the motor
replaced. One the camshafts snapped and one of the pistons struck an open
valve. IT was toast. A friend of ours replaced it for a couple hundred
bucks and so far, it’s been a champ.

Ramon Evans says:

a moment of silence for this car

NJFordPops08005 says:

love the cranking!

Foolishpleazure says:

Lol,you do NOT pump a fuel injected car, even with a screwed up motor.didn’t
anyone teach you that? the only thing you will do is flood it……

admiralcrash1 says:

….nope

leesha812000 says:

Man I hate that sound right now. Man this was an eye opener. Yeah I have
been putting the gasket job off forever.

PSthefirst1 says:

did you ever get the car fixed?

olzt100 says:

The intake valves on these vehicles, 1999 models, are very bad. If it is
leaking coolant, get rid of it. I’ve been through 3 blocks. It’s a lemon.

WweIsReallyGood says:

A head gasket blew in mine 🙁

PSthefirst1 says:

that’s great!! I am glad you got it working again.. Oldsmobiles of any kind
have always been one of my favorites next to the Caprice Classic by
Chevy…good strong solid cars… thanks for the answer.

BigWormG35 says:

What a fucking turd. Not EVER worth swapping in a new motor.

HondaRidin1991 says:

Lol I have an alero and my sons name is michael adam. Funny coincidence
huh? How’d the car turn out?

MichaelAdamsRocks says:

Yeah, it shows up from time to time. Something about a vacuum leak and the
EVAP canister I think.

MichaelAdamsRocks says:

The motor was swapped. We’ve had it for 8 years now. It’s close to 200,000
miles now and has just been passed down to my other brother as his first
car. It’s been a fantastic car for what it’s been through.
