1970 Oldsmobile 455 Installing a Torker Intake Manifold

I’m installing a Torker intake manifold on a 1970 Oldsmobile 455. I find Oldsmobile engines respond surprisingly well to this style open plenum manifold.
I like to place the intake gaskets dry first and see if the front and rear rubber seals contact the intake. if there is excessive space due to machining, you may have to use a silicone bead instead of the rubber front and rear seals.

Who uses the rubber gaskets on the intake anymore?

Darren Betker says:

Don't u know u don't use the end gaskets? Even rookie engine assemblers know this.

I can't stress how important it is to re-torque the intake bolts after some heat cycles as the gaskets compress. In some cases you will need to re-torque the bolts 2 or 3 times.

Just curious as to why you have the 350 gold color on the 455
