Bernard Farrell says:

I’m having real trouble with those plastic things. Do I push in those
little pieces or try to jimmy a small screwdriver in behind them and pop
them away from the rest of the plastic pieces?

What is the cheapest place to buy a driver’s side tail lamp for a 2012
Altima? Really only need the clear housing. Thanks, great video!

Juan Arteaga says:

Wat dis u use to take the bolts off

Tracey Lawrence says:

JC Whitney has comparable OEM light assemblies for good prices. Can’t find
the housing by itself, but the whole assembly is less than $70, free
shipping. (I would post the link, but youtube isn’t liking it).

Aaron Stelle says:

I actually have never installed HID Headlights, so I’m not sure. Sorry!

Roman Dernowski says:

Aaron Stelle says:

Glad I could help.

Chad Slover says:

Thanks Aaron. Can’t believe it was really that simple. Didn’t see those
little nuts. Thanks again!

Aaron Stelle says:

Happy to help!

Aaron Stelle says:

I just used a small standard screwdriver to pop the middle thing up and had
no problem.

David Hinojosa says:

what size/name is the bulb? is it a sylvania 3157?

Ace Bruns says:

I haven’t had to change the brake light on my Altima for a few years, this
was a nice refresher. Thanks a bunch.

Bill Colisch says:

Knockrockerz – the two black pieces hold the trunk liner/carpet on. Just
pull the center part (use a small flat screwdriver) out part way, then the
whole thing will pull out. Replacement is just as simple – put both pieces
thru the holes in the carpet & the body, then push in the center part.

Aaron Stelle says:

If this video accomplishes nothing else, it is now a success!

Aaron Stelle says:

I just used a pair of channel locks.

wricci13 says:

2008 2.5 SL 5 Minutes per side… Thanks! Make sure that the gasket does
not get gummed up on the threads… You may think the housing is tight, but
it won’t pass the shake test.

kyron0072 says:

thanks bro this is very helpful thank you very much!! I am so grateful!!
😉

Kenneth Bose Jr. says:

get someone else to record you my dude….. thanks kindly though

Aaron Stelle says:

There should be a little piece in the middle of the plastic pieces that
pops out with a small standard screwdriver. Once you pop the center up they
will slide right out.

Aaron Stelle says:

You’re welcome, I’m glad I could help. I literally fumbled around for an
hour the first time I tried to do it. That’s the reason I made the video, I
figured I wasn’t the only one!

small black thing back in it wouldn’t…end up breaking up…how do you get
them off and on successfully?

m m says:

Yes, it is a 3157. The pair I picked up from Pep Boys said 3157 LL (long
life).

Do i need to put in an upgraded wire harness in a 2008 altima coupe in
order to install hid head lights? or could i just buy the upgraded bulbs
and install them as usual? I drive a jeep and usually resort to the jeep
forums but there seems to be less forums with this make and model which my
fiance drives… thanks!

OddSprout714 says:

Yay thanks! Helped sooo much!!

FunkadelicCosmicSlop says:

I have a 2011 Nissan Altima and can’t find any videos to remove the tail
light for it. I was going to use this video as a reference but then found
that the bolts in my trunk are significantly different. Mine are like Black
Buttons or clip-like devices, I can’t even distinguish that much…. I was
going to use a plier to take them out but really don’t want to break them.
Could you please tell me how to remove the bolts in my car?

Billy TheBarber says:

ok thanks for replying

knockrockerz says:

At about the 1:11 minute mark – you mention to remove the two nuts and two
black pieces….but you don’t show where the two black pieces come from.
You only showed the location of the two nuts.
