I did this job now no power runs a lil above idle bummers
Shops around me charge $90 to $120 an hour for labor. I had about 2.5 hours into it but i’m no pro mechanic and I was filming. Not sure what book time on it is.
Damn what a job!!!!!!!!!! Trying to replace my daughters plugs removed the valve cover and was like where the hell are they. Found your video and looking at it I don’t think I can do it. What would do think a shop would charge to do this?
You can do this job with basic hand tools and a torque wrench. Thanks for the comment.
Hey Smokeasammie,
That was a really good and detailed video because maintenance for Versas are very hard to come by. I am gonna change the spark plugs during the next servicing of my 1.5 L Versa. Can you list and tell me all the tools that you used for this video ?
Thanks and keep going ^^
Yeah probably a good idea to used Denso or NGK instead but the BOSCH plugs seem to run good and the engine was a little happier when I took her on the beat run I mean test drive after completing the repair. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for making this. One manual for my 2009 says to remove the rocker cover, which seems really unnecessary. I probably would have replaced the PCV valve while it was easily accessible, maybe even used Denso or NGK plugs instead.
I was worried about breaking some fastners a couple of times. Thanks for the comment.
Yes a PITA, but you didn’t snap off any bolts or break any plastic connectors. Like you said the plugs will be in there for another 100K. Doesn’t sound like you’ll have it that long anyway.
Yes it was. Thanks for the comment.
Great video
PIA job though 🙁
