Matthew Reed says:

Step 2: Don’t be a troll

GamingHabit says:

Step 1: Don’t buy a Versa

shir azi says:

thanks but keep the camera steady man . I just got sick . thank you again for your tips !!!!!
good luck

Jorge Leon says:

i had a problem with my versa and i was searching all around google for the problem but your video got me out of the problem, thanks alot for uploading, paid $80 for o-ring and regulator at nissan, needed fast. good job man.

ny1fosho says:

So your problem at that time wasn’t the fuel pump itself?? I’m going thru that now and Looking in on what I need to fix it.

Yves Lagace says:

Just finished changing my own regulator. Your video made it possible. Tanks à lot Matthew.

Matthew Reed says:

sorry for the delayed reply. Im glad you were able to fix the problem.

Matthew Reed says:

okay asshole, nobody forced you to watch the video. Did you get the general idea of how to do the repair? Yes? Then the video was helpful. Now calm your tits and stfu. Considering this is one of my top viewed videos and you
‘re the only one to complain about it, it can’t be all that bad.

Daniel Cardona says:

Okay asshole learn how to keep the camera steady and stop fucking talking low and speak up you jackass.

hatehaven says:

Just wanted to say thanks for the video. Just installed a new fuel pump in my Versa, this video made it possible!

hatehaven says:

hey man question for ya. Were you able to hear your fuel pump going before the fix? I was just driving along today and it stopped like it ran out of gas. I got it towed back to my house and it sounds just like yours before the fix but it doesn’t start at all. It ALMOST starts but doesn’t quite get the car started.

Matthew Reed says:

Part of it is the fact that they want to upsell a fuel pump. Since the FPR does actually come with a new fuel pump assembly, it will fix the problem, and its actually fewer steps to install, it just costs $400 more. Good for them, not so good for us. Also, it is a very hard part to find through Nissan part search system, even when you give them the part number.

ldysnow1 says:

Curious, why does Nissan refuse to acknowledge this part exists?

Ahmed El-Ziery says:

despite the pink nail job but nice job ‘

alker says:

I was wondering the same, and after he said junk in my trunk ,I make sure he’s gay!!

NFSINSANE says:

Decent video, lot of talking and I hope you get better at handling tools : )

Kelvin Tso says:

Why do you have pink toe nails?

Matthew Reed says:

@tigermack also, links for the parts are in the description

Matthew Reed says:

@tigermack I let it prime for around 10 seconds and then just started it like normal.

tigermack says:

How long did you prime the pump for?

Matthew Reed says:

Still no issues with the fix. Glad i could help!

Matthew Reed says:

it was bad for a couple months, then it was only very infrequently that I had issues, then it came back and was constantly bad for another 6 months or so before I finally rpelaced it. The car never failed to start, just took a long time sometimes.

CBurkey1273 says:

How long was your FPR bad for? did it ever not start completely? Did it effect anything else besides your crank start up? Ive had this problem for a week and i have to drive 800 miles this weekend. I dont want it to fail completely on me.ou think i will be okay lol? going to replace it next week tho thx for the video.

nivlacw says:

Thanks for this video. Made it really easy. From start to finish it took me an hour. Now if only there was a video to replace the heater relay.

nivlacw says:

Thanks, just wanted to make sure I do not break anything.

Matthew Reed says:

You just lift like hell. Try one side for awhile, and if it doesn’t come out after a few hard pulls, head over to the other side and give that one a try. One will usually come out easier than the other, and then you can take a look at whats holding it in and get the harder one out easier.

Calvin Fors says:

Is there a specific way to get the back seat out, are there tabs? Or do you just lift like hell?

Matthew Reed says:

No issues. Its been 3 months now and I’ve never had that long start problem like I had before. I also haven’t had any issues with check engine lights.

nivlacw says:

Have you had any issues since replacing the regulator? Thanks for the awesome video by the way!

Matthew Reed says:

after calling a few dealerships, I did find one that would sell me the part, but my local dealership wouldn’t order it for me. They insisted I had to buy the entire fuel pump. Also, it would’ve been more expensive. Getting it through Nissanpartszone saved me some cash.

dcrunner94 says:

Nissan sells it. But you have to give them part number: 22670-ZR70C Fuel Pressure Regulator. Technical Bulletin Reference number NTB07-094c

D Puti says:

Thx..Will these parts fit the 2008 HB? I put my vin # in the site and it did not match the parts to my car.

Matthew Reed says:

Added links in the description!

D Puti says:

Where did you buy the fuel pressure regulator? I can’t find it online.

Matthew Reed says:

yes. yes it is. hahahaha. but obviously you can do it with basic tools. its just gonna take forever.

Eddie Chung says:

I have done this repair over 100 times already, as a Nissan tech. there is a recall update of the fuel pressure regulator.. but yes if you don’t have fuel tank opener , This will be a bitch to do..

Matthew Reed says:

Bend the tabs backwards that hold it down. Just make sure you bend everything back before you put it back together.

mattrc77 says:

Yeah that sounds like my old 2005 sentra, good video man!
