@damagebrain1 Oil will settle under the valve-cover,it`s normal. Yes,you
should replace the valve-cover gasket and rubber gorment.Make sure all
gasket mating surface is 100% oil free by cleaning it with brake-cleaner or
any oil free cleaner.
@SteveXnycperformance alright ill do that. thanks for the reply.
@SteveXnycperformance I can do this next week. Once i have done everything
you reccomended i will let you know how it goes. THANK YOU STEVE!!
dude u have a lot of sludge at the bottom
hi steve! I have a 99 nissan altima and i want to change valve cover gasket
because I have oil in two of the four spark plug tubes. Do i need to
replace the gaskets you just show in the video or there is more under the
twin cam shafter like a honda accord? I also notice i have a blow -by how
can i fix that?
some of the oil can be soak up with a cloth, and the rest can enter the
cylinder for burn-out when start-up.
i took the valve cover off my 2.4 twin cam ecotec a few days ago and
noticed there was oil in it like yours does. is it bad for it to be in
there and should i replace the gasket??
Hi steve. A friend of mine gave me her 94 nissan sentra xe, 1.6 liter,
103,000 miles. it was sitting for about 5 years, so she didn’t drive it or
start it for 5 years. now that i have it, i want to take care of it and fix
it up. i had to replace the starter, fuel pump, and fuel filter. Now i
noticed that it has a ‘blow by’, and like this video it misfires. now
yesterday, it starts but as soon as i accelerate the engine cuts out and
dies. What do you recommend i do now? Thank you steve.
I’m about to change gasket on my 01 Altima and was wondering how do you get
the oil out before I put new sparks on
@cmariscal69 Perform a complete Tune-up. Replace the Spark plugs(very
important) ignition wires,PCV,distributor cap, rotor, Air filter, clean
Throttle Body with TB cleaner.Make sure all vacuum hose are free from
leaks. Replace the O2(Oxygen) sensor at the engine manifold for better fuel
control.Change the oil& filter. Replace thermostat and anti-freeze. Inspect
engine rubber belts and Motor/trans mount.Sitting 5 yrs, will need brake
inspection and flush of brake fluids.
@jangeld18 Same thing has this video
