Nissan Frontier Xterra Pathfinder Radiator Replacement (Complete Guide)

Nissan Frontier Xterra Pathfinder Radiator Replacement (Complete Guide)

In this video I show the steps and procedures necessary to replace a radiator in a Nissan frontier, Nissan exterior, or Nissan pathfinder years 2005 through 2019. In this video we’re working on a 2014 Nissan Xterra 2wdr with a 4.0L V6 engine. The issue that it was having is that the radiator is leaking from the top tank seal. Which is a very common leak point on plastic tank radiators. I hope this video helps you out if it does please like and subscribe and make sure to check out the links in the description for the parts and tools I use during this video. Thanks for watching

Why isn’t the content available anymore?

You deserve more views and subscribers. Your videos are exactly what you need to know, Without all the blabber blabber you get on most videos. When I see that a video is 30 or 45 inutes long for something as simple s thias, I know that it's going to be full of a bunch of crap talk. Like one of those "what I can say in twenty words, I'm going to say in 500". Love your videos. thanks a lot.

New radistors shouldnt cause SMOD on these. If you bypass the internal cooler, you should consider installing an aftermarket external cooler for towing.

@rambleon2838 says:

The coolant you drained from the radiator was green. The coolant you added was orange. How does that work?

@crusoebower3391 says:

Cheers mate really appreciate your help

@supercraig2009 says:

Hello, how difficult to get to and take off the lower radiator hose? Assuming you wentt under the truck?

@rjones812rj says:

I installed the new radiator and filled it up but it is still overheating. Maybe it has air pockets in the system? Also no leaks.

@deaneverlean-xc2vn says:

If you bypass transmission cooler, won’t your transmission over heat

Very thorough and professional work. Thank you for posting this. I am changing the radiator in my 2009 Pathfinder today and this looks like a much easier time than I had with my 2010 Murano (had to remove the front bumper to access it). Definately subscribing to your page.

Fuck that TRQ video. I started watching that and became concerned that it was going to be too much for my amateur YouTube mechanic to fix. After watching this, I got a bit more confident!

Sir you are amazing and thank you so much

@Malleyc4t says:

I'm having an issue with my frontier. What would cause the pressure in the coolant system to build up and pop a hose?

@RealWorldGarage says:

I’m a mechanic by trade, and do YouTube myself. I often go look for a video on how stuff breaks down and goes back together on jobs that I’ve never done before. This is an excellent and quick no nonsense video. Very well done sir. I will be doing a video on replacing it, not as detailed as yours, no need, you’ve already done it. I will be posting a card to your video directing them to yours for complete instructions on removal. My video will be more focused on the aux AC fan that has crapped out, and a CEL for evap leak and using the TOPDON topscan. Good scanner BTW. Thanks again for a great video.
