For Nissan 2020 altima you have to unscrew the top 3 bolts and the lower two bolts that hold the passenger glove box. Drop that down then pull the white plastic piece that holds the cabin filter.

If you push up from the bottom when removing it will make it easier to pop out then if you squeeze the middle like you did when installing it will usually slide right out with a slight wiggle. But sometimes ripping them to sheds is the only option
