beginner question. After replacing the Shock, what was the purpose of lowering the car down on to the jack placed behind the Shock? Is that to compress the shock or test the shock? Thanks. Good detail on the video, btw!

so my rear left side of my car looks lower than the other side, I can tell the gap between the tire and the fender on that side is much smaller than on the other side, what is wrong here? is it struts or something (tires and wheels are all the same btw)

but I think my coil spring is bad, so now I have to change them..
