Thanks! I was going crazy trying to figure out a solution without having to
buy the adapters from online. No stores have them in stock for me to go out
and buy. Plus I saved myself $10!!! I appreciate the innovative thinking!!
Worked on a 2011 Nissan Rogue Rear Speakers! Front Speakers don’t have the
adapter attached to the actual speaker! Now I can finish my project!!
Need this due to the fact the speakers are set back from the exterior panel
and the body of the mounting area is at an angle and not flush..
Just literally did this on my 2009 Frontier. Smashing! Worked like a charm.

do you need to do that if you were to install same size speakers as OEM?

Yes, unless you want to go buy the adapters. The speakers will not mount
without this or the adapters.
