can you please let me know if i can just not solder? I am good at soldering but i dont want the extra work. my car is a lease i would have to take the starter off eventually. im thinking about cutting the wires and using the twisting cap things to connect the remote starter wire to the existing wires. Thoughts?

I have a 2002 subaru forester, do I need a bypass module or data link?

Josh Smith says:

Also sometimes in data model you still have to hard wire a few features between the alarm and alca module. So what he said isn't totally accurate. It still saves you alot of wiring but doesn't always cover everything in 2 way data.

Josh Smith says:

You can also use the Directed cable that comes with the alca. The 1 with one 4 pin black plug and 1 4 pin red plug. If it doesn't work the first time just unplug and turn the red plug over on the alarm and your set to go. been doing these for over 20 years and I've done pretty much every major brand out there at some point. Some of them alot of times. Just for your info compustar and Audiovox like the aps997E are the best on the market right now. Viper has gone down hill over the past 10 years or so.
