The blue alignment tape… not the tape on the molding…
Thanks for taking the time to video. Helps a lot.
Excellent video. My run-about ,Mazda 6, molding started to fall off. I
repaired it with spray adhesive but if that fix doesn’t hold I’ll
definitely use this method to install brand new ones. Thanx great video!!
u said 14 inch from bottom of door in fornt but 15inches at back are u sure
??
How did you get the tape on the car without any curve to it? I have tried
putting these moldings on several times, but everytime I do it I get a
curve in the tape and molding don’t line up to it….
JP92RS I could not tell from the video about the quality of the Dawn
moldings. If they ar cut from roll stock, how well are the end shaped and
finished?
Nissan is trying to keep the cost down on the 13 model from the 12 model,
and believe me you don’t want to know what else they have cheapen out on, I
think the factory moldings look nicer than what was installed on this car,
and really what is that thin molding gonna protect but ruin the style of
the car?
Can someone tell me if those molding is only made for this mid or he just
put it their
damn car looks nice with tints to bad the cops thinks im gonna shot them so
i gotta take it off
You make it look easy, very well explained and beautiful result!!
Good idea! Great way to keep it straight
Nice simple DIY video Thanks! Can you provide the link to where you bought
the side door molding?
There are 2 type of side moldings for this car, this one that goes in the
middle of the door and the factory one that goes at the bottom where it
only protects when you open your door. Not when someone else opens their
door on you. As far as applying it at 14″ in the front door, and 15″ in the
rear door is due to the slope of the car. That’s what the instructions
reccomend you to do.
