That’s all it takes for this standard tranny. It’s a pretty simple drain
and fill process. If you have an automatic transmission, there is a filter
that needs to be replaced as well…
I forgot to mention in the video that the manual shows two motor sizes –
with a different capacity for the transmission for each. This is why I
pointed out where to find out for sure which motor you have in the
vehicle…
Just since there isn’t a dipstick for the manual tranny and the fill plug
is in a position where the perfect fill point / capacity is factory set
when the car is level – personally, I just like to make sure I have the
exact amount of fluid in the car when refilling through the plug. Not that
it would be that big of a deal though if someone did it just with the front
lifted… I’m sure that would be close enough…
I started jacking up the car level when changing fluid like that because
they also make it to where you can’t over fill it (usually – such as with
the Nissan) – the fill hole is strategically placed where once the fluid
starts to come out – it has the correct amount in it… (when level)… and
if the plug was in the back instead of the front – sometimes you can’t get
it all in… but when the fill hole is in the front – you are good.
Oh so you can tell the fill point by looking at the oil level through the
fill plug? I changed the oil yesterday with only the fron jacked up and I
put the specified amount of oil that is listed in the service manual
This isn’t an advertisement for Redline oils, but I sure like them a lot. I
notice the shifting is a lot smoother… with no clunk at all… I’m real
impressed with this Redline fluid! :o)
I just changed my cv axle from my 2001 maxima. And in the axle that goes
into the transmission it threw out transmission fluid. Is it the same step
to put fluid like this sentrra? Since their nissan.

Where is the filter that needs to be replaced for the automatic
transmission??
That’s all it takes for a transmission flush!?….
Nice work!!
Why did you need to jack up the back?

My tranny leaks oil so how did you exactly determine the appropriate oil
level?

Oh yea… you are correct… as long as you look up and put the exact
amount in you are good… :o)
Glad it was helpful!

That helped me so much to find the two plugs on my old rusted 2002 sentra!
Thank you very much!
