This video was so useful.
excellent video thank you Cristian
You don't change the filter. ???
Use Nissan NS-2 transmission fluid.
Hey its the clown channel
No filter in that nissan?
Good demo thanks
I've always wondered the correct steps to do this. The dealer charged $239.00 to do it. Many thanks.
Still have the car ? How’s the STP doing?
Superior video. Very clear, well structured, and well edited.
Don't you need to replace the transmission filter as well? Also, don't you need to drop the pan and clean the pan of metal shavings? Other videos I watched said to do those two steps too in order to make the transmission last.
These transmissions seem like as long as it is CVT fluid with NS3 or NS2 somewhere on the label it would work without issues. Just make sure that it is not ATF since automatic transmissions work differently. When it comes to warranties most people are concerned that if the dealer doesn't see the right color fluid they might void their warranty. Of course if it is red and you go in there having a problem the dealer might accuse you of using ATF.
Nice to hear the truth about using NISSAN OEM transmission fluid. Since they warranty the transmission fluid for 60k, you know that their fluid works. I'd never risk losing important additives that Nissan trusts to warranty.
Another pro tip… Cold car and put the fluid under the car overnight too… Then, the fluids match volume… It's good for using a measuring container to match volumes when replacing it… If the fluid is in a warmer garage, that volume will be different!
For anyone doing this, once you unlock the CVT fill cap with the screwdriver, you do have to pull up harder than you might expect to remove it. The o-ring gets pretty stuck in there, so give it a decent pull.
very good video…thanks
I had somebody tell me that you could not let any air onto the transmission, and that it needed to be filled while being drained. Is there any precident for this, or is it just misinformation?
The transmission fluid that he took out of the transmission was pink, why is he putting in a different color. I know there is a green cvt transmission fluid but is it okay to mix the colors.
