Thank you- good seeing the whole process real-time.
Can you make a video on how to change transmission fluid for a Nissan
Frontier V6 automatic? Thanks.
hi , i bought a 2.5 pathfinder diesel , my front differential has a house
that goes up near the airbox , whats that for , am i missing a part ?
Caveman joe enjoy all your frontier videos really help. Are u planning to
do a front brakes video?
Awesome videos, they have been extremely helpfull to me. What are your
reasons for liking the AMSOIL product so much? Any plans of making a video
for body and chassis lubrication? Did you purchase the pump used for adding
the oils or is it a home made device?
I started using amsoil in 2001 when I was driving 100 miles a day back
forth to work, and I got tired of changing my oil every month and half, and
after using most of the products all this time and my own research I just
feel comfortable with what I use. I haven’t seen any zirc fittings or else
I would grease everything up. The pump is also from Amsoil, and they also
have a flexible spout now for a cheaper alternative.
@ccarabaj1179 Unfortunately that service isn’t due for some time on this
vehicle, but this spring I’m doing the front brakes on the subaru, rotors
and pads.
DONE! I saved $92.05 from what Meineke wanted to charge me for labor. Plus,
they really tried to bend me over by wanting to charge me $157.85 for their
oil when I only had to pay $109.25 for Mobil gear oil at Auto Zone. The
hard part was finding the front differential filler plug as it wasn’t in
the exact location as shown in Haynes. Once I took the skid plate off, I
found it and after a certain effort with a breaker bar, I was able to break
torque on it.
As long as you’re putting in the correct weight according to the owner’s
manual it should be fine, I put 75W-90 in my front differential and it says
compatible with limited slip diffs also, never had problems.
Glad everything worked out, not only do you get to save a few bucks, but
also get to know your vehicle a little more.
Don’t know, I’ve never worked on a lexus. I would have to see the process
or read up on it before offering an informed opinion.
do you have any videos on an evap line i have a p0455 code on a 2006
frontier.Thanks
You’re welcome.
is it the same for Lexus rx330 awd? if so, i have to change the
transmission fluid, transfer case, front and rear differential?
Awesome. Thanks man
@JayzBeerz I run the four wheel drive at least a couple times a month, when
I get a wild hair to hit the dirt. I know the rear always gets more use
than the front, but if I’m changing the rear I go ahead and do both.
nice, thanks!!
How often do you run your truck in 4 wheel drive? The rear fluid will
always be dirtier then the front fluid.
Excellent stuff!
Sorry, If I had the same issue I would do one, I do these as they come up.
I have 2001? Still the same? How many mileage.. I have 4×4 but when i check
till clear? do i need to change it?
Look for the front brakes video towards the end of the summer.
The process will be similar on most pickup trucks, According to my chilton
manual it’s every 60,000 miles or 48 months. Hope that helps.
Caveman Joe, I used LSD oil on my rear differential (2002 Frontier) because
that’s what the specs called for. Is it OK to use LSD oil on the front
differential, too? (Save me from buying 2 different types of oil.) Thanks a
lot, Caveman Joe. You rock!
