Fixing a Nissan Rogue Transmission So I Can Give It Away. GOAL MET!

Fixing a Nissan Rogue Transmission So I Can Give It Away. GOAL MET!

I’m working on this 2010 Nissan Rogue that needs a new transmission. It has a CVT (continuously variable transmission) which are very unique and really cool engineering. I have to disassemble most of the front end of this car to get the transmission out, which I then tear apart so we can see what’s wrong with it. Once I get enough money to buy the parts, I’m going to put all this back together and then give it to a graduating high school student who needs it.

***I’m thrilled to share that we have already raised enough money to fix this car and then some! Any additional donations will go to a second student/car. You guys are AWESOME! Thank you! ***

I didn't go the buy me a coffee route. I just donated and I am hoping it's just a one time deal.. I'm disabled and on a fixed income. I would love if I could afford this every month unfortunately I can't so you tell me if this donation was a onetime shot? I love your channel and watch often. YOU DA MAN.. Will you post who gets car when done?

Bob Carry says:

Great job. Very interesting. A snowmobile drive is very similar with the pulley operation but they don't need a valve body. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Mr. FarmCraft101; This video was my first view of your channel and my immediate impression is you really know how to deliver content to viewers. Absolutely phenomenal presentation. You know when to deliver in regular speed (i.e., talking) and fast forward (repetitive actions such as screw turning). And what you say is informative without a bunch of ahhhs and other nonsense. In all honesty, I was not bored for the whole 40 minutes and there are darn few other YouTube videos that can get that sort of review from me. A tip of the hat to you, sir, for really showing folks how it should be done. Now, the second thing: This project is a wonderful thing for you to do for your community. The gift of this car could be life changing to the recipient and I applaud you for having the vision and taking the initiative to make it happen. I'll send some cash your way via the coffee thing to help you 'git 'er done'! I wish you and your family a wonderful 2023 and I look forward to more videos about the repair of this car.

You said these transmissions are not re buildable and that you can't buy parts for them. So why would they want a core?

Jim O'Connor says:

Great idea and content. You are a very kind person. Left you a donation. Good luck finishing this project! You never cease to amaze me… This will make a great impact in someone's life.
