Sometimes the fob needs to be reprogrammed, other times it doesn’t. Depends on the vehicle & whether or not that fob came new with the vehicle or it was added after. From personal experience, a majority of the time the fob doesn’t need to be reprogrammed. If you do run into that issue though… That is normally something you can also do yourself too and there isn’t any tools required. I haven’t reprogrammed a Nissan fob myself, but I’m sure there is a tutorial available online somewhere.
When I called the dealer about a low battery warning about the key fob, they said it would cost about $75-90 to replace the batter and reprogram it. Since button batteries are about $5, why does it need reprogramming? Won’t it work by just replacing the battery??
yeah i own a 2006 mk 5 …so i have the blue logo key. that’s exactly like the one you used on your mk 4. thanks for the reply
I do have one, but I’m not sure if it’s the correct model you’re looking for… w w w.youtube.c o m/watch?v=uRO6OaEuhFA (remove spaces) What year of vehicle is the fob from??? If that’s not the right one, I might be able to find one and do a tutorial on it. Although it’ll most likely take a little time before I can get one.
could you do the same with a vw folding key ?
