What is the proper name for the bearing that holds the axles midway to the first joint on the axle . I think mine went out on my Altima after hitting a huge pothole . I hear a growling noise above 35 mph. and higher.

Brian Miles says:

what is the piece you pull off that looks like a C at 4:15. I need a new one and i don't know the name.

excellent video!

Raising Quail says:

I had to remove the bracket because the bearing was stuck. I had to remove the 3 bolts holding the exhaust flex pipe from the manifold to make room for the bracket. it was REALLY tight, but I wiggled the axle and bracket out without completely removing the exhaust pipe.

Great video. thanks for sharing your work. I have a question… My boot have a little leak, is absoluty necessary to change the whole axle? if I change only the boot and add some grease will be fine?…

Did you have any trouble with the ABS sensor? Most of what I've read, people destroy the sensor taking it out, looks like you didn't have to take it out. Was this a FWD or AWD rogue? maybe there's a difference? thanks!
