Use the old brake pad and a C-clamp to depress the piston and as long as you don't have a brake fluid leak, leave the brake fluid cap on.

Very brave to be sitting there pulling on that screwdriver while your lower leg is directly under that rotar. Watched a guy have his lower leg cut off once when the car fell. He bled out before help arrived. Either way, good video thanks.
