Very detailed thank you, made my day easier.

Bruce Gallespie says:

I need a video like this for a 1996 Sentra. Can’t find one anywhere.

kismet pa says:

That actually isn’t uncommon at all. I bought a 2002 Altima and a 2006 Sentra, both new. The window stickers both had an extra $40 added to the cost of the car for the cabin filter option…and amazingly enough, the 1st time I went to change each of the filters there was never one installed in the car. There are thousands more people out there online who paid for filters they never got. Seems quite the gimmick with Nissan.

batorsin says:

I have a 2011 Sentra. Is there a video I can watch so that I know if I can do this myself or is it the same as the 2009 video? Sure looks easy enough and Nissan charges a lot to do this. I can do this myself according to the video. Thank you.

CoolModifiedCars says:

Sweet Deal Thanks!

NIracomix says:

My 2004 Sentra apparently never had a filter either. My brother prompted me to change it because of allergies and that’s when I discovered my car didn’t have a filter either. Very strange that, but I don’t think mechanics ever check the cabin air filter.

yombino uno says:

any idea how to replace blower motor of Nissan sentra 2007

filterheads says:

Thank you. We’re glad our video could help!

Fernando Pajuelo says:

So instructive and precise.
Thanks

Master5hake7 says:

Thanks for the help. This was my first time changing the cabin filter. I threw the foam strips in the recycle bin cause the instructions that came w/ the filter do not mention them. But I watched your video then went back and got them. Also, I was really surprised when i went to take out the old filter and there was no filter there. Ive had my car for about 4-5 years and I dont think there was ever a filter there, which is strange considering all of the the times Ive taken it in for maintenance.

Thank you! We’re glad our video could help!

You’re welcome! We’re glad our video could help!

turtleban says:

Was going insane trying to get the filter replaced, the car instruction manual gave nothing useful about the replacement procedures. Followed the steps exactly shown in the video and got it replaced with ease, thanks!

nikesh118 says:

I have a Nissan Micra 2000 K12, would it be the same procedures to remove the glove box+replace the cabin filter?

koop1445 says:

Awesome, just watched it! Thanks! : ) We’ll be sure to always order from you guys from now on!

filterheads says:

You are correct. This was one of our first videos and I apologize for not being more clear in the information section. The 2007 Nissan Sentra takes filter AQ1114. The video for this procedure can be seen at /watch?v=jt2ZWNp059Q or by searching AQ1114 on YouTube.

koop1445 says:

I have an 07’ Sentra and it looks nothing like this. The manual says the cabin air filter is located next to the accelerator pedal…

filterheads says:

The strips of foam that we applied to the filter will come with the filter that we sell.

XenomorphLV426 says:

It never occurred to me to remove the plastic frame first, this will make it much easier next time! Thanks! Also what’s stuff on the side of the filter you applied?

lee leeloi says:

thank you very much

filterheads says:

Although you can see the filter door from just removing the glove box, the frame covers about one or two inches of the left side of the door. It may be possible to slide the door out without removing the frame, but the official procedure from Nissan is to remove the frame, so we did. Removing the frame made it easier to take the door off and install the new filter without bending it.

lee leeloi says:

Why do i have to remove the glove box frame ? i did it without removing it, and here in the video the place of the filter is seen without removing it ?? can someone answer me please !

Hong Ma says:

is the video for altima available now? I can’t find it.

filterheads says:

Our arrows indicate the direction of airflow, while some other companies arrows indicate the direction of the filter. I’m sure this is the case. We’re glad you found our video helpful!

cheetahlip says:

Hey appreciate that….I only ask because I just changed mine, and there is another vid online that I watched that advocated the opposite arrow direction that you guys did!!! And of course the original filter did not have an arrow on it when I removed it. Thanks for the reply and the good vid.

filterheads says:

– Generally, the media in these types of filters will perform exactly the same in both directions when first installed. The difference between the sides is “capacity” – or the number of particles the filter can catch before it becomes “clogged”. You won’t damage your car by putting it in the wrong way. The filter will just have a shorter service life.

cheetahlip says:

Great video. Question, is it critical that the air flow direction arrow is pointed down or does the filter work the same either direction?

flukes777 says:

I took my 04′ sentra in to the dealer to have an oil change (they sent me a coupon for an oil change). After changing the oil the guy told me that my cabin filter was “shot” and that they can change it for $85. I told them thanks but no thanks and found out how to change the cabin filter from the users manual (and this site). I bought a cabin filter for $18 and it took me 10 minutes to install it. Funny thing is that there was no original cabin filter in the car at all. Hmmmmmm.

filterheads says:

– Your Maxima will be different from the Sentra in this video. The level of difficulty is about the same, and the filter is also behind the glovebox. Your car uses a different filter than the the one shown here – it actually has a pair of filters that slide into the housing together. Our part number is AQ1093C. We will probably shoot a video for your model within the next several weeks – stay tuned.

Shaun P says:

I have an 02 Maxima, do I change my filter the same way as in this video?

TheOnetwothreemike says:

Oh ok. Great thanks again.

filterheads says:

Our part number for the Non-hybrid 2007 Altima is AQ1140. It will be a different procedure than in this video. We are scheduled to shoot video footage in the next week of so for an Altima.

TheOnetwothreemike says:

That sounds great. I actually have a 2007 Nissan altima. Can I get a part code for that. Thanks a lot.

filterheads says:

– If you are the least bit mechanically inclined, you certainly can. For the month of January, you can use the promo code YT1101 at our website to get 25% off the filter you need – our part number is AQ1087.

TheOnetwothreemike says:

Thanks for posting this. Nissan wanted almost $120.00 to do that for me, but by the looks of things, I can do it myself.

rdscrpn1031 says:

thankyou. I have a 2006 sentra I bought in 2007. I never changed the cabin filter , when I remove the housing I notice there was no Filter in the car… Now I have a new filter and my car smell clean with my new air freshner. It was quick and easy installation…
