2007 to 2012 Nissan altima 2.5L catalytic converter replacement – Exhaust manifold DIY

2010 altima 2.5L came in with a Check engine light on and DTC P0420 catalytic efficiency below threshold bank 1. Very simple to diagnose (see end of video).

Same Video But with Voice over: https://youtu.be/HWO5UOSQrXE

This video is showing how to Change the Catalytic converter on a 2007 to 2012 Nissan Altima with a 2.5L 4 cylinder.

It is usually Very loud in the shop so there won’t be any vocal direction. Trying things a little differently on this video. If you prefer at least a voice over please leave your comments and suggestions down below.

My car has been losing power up hills. I'll be doing this job in a few days. Should I change the air fuel ratio sensor at the same time? Or should I just clean it? I can't find the genuine sensor, but so far, it's about $110 for the Denso brand. Thoughts?

Tony Garza says:

Thanks for the feedback, definitely something worth considering. I have one more question for you. My a/c fan motor under the dash board is making alot of noise, probably full of debris 07 Nissan Sentra S. Could you give me ball park figure on just labor to change out fan motor for a new one? Being trying to call my local nissan dealership but it's practically impossible for someone to pick up the phone now days. Thanks for your feedback and video. Keep'm coming.

Tony Garza says:

I think this was done at the dealership, guy had nissan ski cap on. Dealership are expensive out of pocket money if you don't have a warranty of some kind on your car. I called midas and a job like this was 1200 bucks and change. Thanks for video though, alot of work is involved.
