2007 Nissan Maxima Headlight Bulb Replacement (how to)

2007 Nissan Maxima Headlight Bulb Replacement (how to)

I feel like Nissan could have made this a LITTLE easier for something as routine as changing a bulb…. but it is what it is. Hope this helps you out. Feel free to comment or email if you have any questions, the email address is in the “about” tab! Happy wrenching!

This is the first time i ever commented on a video. Your 4 minute video made it very easy to swap out my headlights! My 17 year old son and I replaced both headlights in less than two hours using your video. Thanks!!! One note for others doing this… The plastic pins that go on top the bumper are different size (larger) than the plastic pins that go underneath the bumper. I broke a few until I realized it.

Cedric Dufour says:

taking out the bumper is crazy for a bulb change……PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS METHOD

TJ4L smith says:

yes great job an its easier

First, amazing video! However, Nissan should be ashamed of themselves! It's easier to change strut assemblies, control arms, sway bar Links, brakes, etc. on a Nissan than changing a freaking light! Outrageous!

Fernando L says:

Hey thanks a lot man, we used your video to replace a bad headlight and a fog light. It was lengthy but I didn't break any bulb casings. Happy holidays to you and your family.

I've been a Nissan tech since 1992. There is no rhyme or reason with replacing parts on mass produced vehicles. Its tragic for the owners. These cars are assembled in a way that makes most sense from the frame up for mechanical, robotic assembling systems. Sometimes it's right there, 2 minutes and sometimes it's take the front bumper off. Some customers of mine freak when they see an hour and a half labor for a simple bulb. Always do both sides and even the unbroken ones if the car has miles on it. Why do it twice or more. Videos like this really help the average person. Thank you for the great video. did u have the 9012 bulb or the ds2 bulb

Carlos A says:

my left headlight turns off randomly. but will reset when I turn my headlights off then back on. is this a sign letting me know my headlight is about to go out or is it an electrical problem (I'm hoping it's not) thanks.

Raymond Boone says:

it's really easy to change them out…i just bought new headlights, and it does take a little bit time but you can do it. ..i also put HID kit on the low beam, now I need to change high beam H9 bulbs. but im needing to know what temperature is the brighter bulb H9..anyone know which bulb is best 5000 or 5900

swordfish00007 says:

Yeah this sucks balls. I am gonna have to take it to a shop to get this shit done which normally I thought the lights slide out etc. I just don't have the time to do this but tyvm for the vid though.

K. dot says:

why did Nissan make this shit so difficult?! lol thanks for this video man. I'm about to change one of mine due to one getting real hazy and turned yellow.

luomlds says:

Why would you not remove your front tire, the one side you need the bulb replaced. Then take off the wheel well guards? No need to take did bumper.

Adam Benderman says:

It's alot easier to take the airbox and plastic out and replace them that way…don't have to worry about lining the bumper back up. Don't do all this extra work. It's unnecessary to remove the bumper.

MultiSavetheplanet1 says:
