I give u thumbs up! Although you can buy the lamp assembled already…….if u just buy the bulb it’s 50 bucks, if you buy the whole thing it’s 200 bucks. Thank for video! Saved me $150 bucks! 🙂
This is no longer necessary since it is possible to buy the whole assembly with the light bulb in it. This video is obsolete.
This should be pretty helpful!!!
know where i can get my parts at>?
I am very happy that this is posted, it has saved me money. Thanks for the info and keep up the fabulous job!
He sure did!!
AFTER U INSTALL IT IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE U HAVE TO DO
No problem. Lamp is a professional term for bulb, its used more in the entertainment industry / theater. Bulbs usually screw in, lamps have prongs / wires.
thanks
Lamp is the real term for “bulb”
how much are these lamps? and do they include the bulb?
hopefully you’ve replaced your keyboard or taken some typing lessons since that comment
my part number is 915P027A10 for a Misubishi DLP 73 inch TV. Can I replace it with 915P027010
did anyone notice he didnt even put the new bulb on? wth
@FixYourDLPcom …OR can I wrap the wires up with electrical tape????
@FixYourDLPcom ….well, I just went to replace my bulb and the two connecting wires are corroded or something! the plastic wire housing just crumbled away as took the casing apart… what causes this??? I JUST got the casing 4 months ago from a cheap ass online dealer LAMP X PRESS (DO NOT USE THESE CLOWNS) … are there replacement wires out there I can purchase to replace? or do I need an entirely new housing??? the actual wires are exposed from the cracked wire covers…HELP???
like he said they are ac lamps, and he used the same bulb as an examble lol
…Or the fact he reinstalled the old light. Whatever, I need to do this tomorrow…thanks for the vid…
Did anyone notice he put the old bulb back in
Latex gloves and a very clean surface area help prolong the life of your bulb. Also, the area behind and around the back of your set should be well ventilated so that the bulb can cool after and during use.
bulb lasted about 2 years or so, maybe less, just replaced it had trouble putting it back in! after 15 mins I finally got it back in noticing that a plastic tab broke off… So make sure its secure! It might look like it is, but double check carefully!
Thx for vid! easy take apart, a bitch to put the tabs back into its rightful place.
this is the seocnd time i had to replace he damn tv ~_~ i’m jsut thining of sticking a liek a big ass fas near the ventaleter and anotehr powerfuller and faster fan int eh tv so the air goes faster and idk one bblows another sucks XDD lol(ventaltion)
Is there a trick to getting those two big thumb screws on the enclosure to thread into the TV ? I pushed and turned as hard as I could, and never was able to make it happen.I tried with a flat head screwdriver too. My enclosure is in, but those screws are loose. Any pointers?
Thanks thats a great Idea that I had not thought of. I also bought a fan from radio shack and placed it behind the TV so circulate the air. They say heat will also wear out the bulb.
did you notice he used the same bulb also lol. I think he was just showing us how to do it and I appreciate it
how long do these bulb suppose to last. My first one lasted around 1 year then the next lasted only 5 months. I think it was because the idiot repairman did not use gloves when he changed the bulb. Any idiot knows when you work with a halogen light you do not want your greasy hands on them. I hate to keep replacing them in my mitsubishi
it doesn’t matter which way you have the wires. They are AC lamps so the current flows both ways.
osram is a cheap brand
Did anyone else notice that he switched the wires when he reattached them?
Did you touch the lamp with your fingers. If so the grease from your fingers caused it to burn up. Same thing happens with stage lights. It’s because the wattage is so high and the lamp burns so hot that the grease cooks the bulb.
Great vid. Worked fine for me. Too bad the lamp only lasted 2 days and smelled like hot plastic the whole time.
