In general any vehicle has fuel filter that cleans the fuel before it reaches the engine. With improvements to today’s fuels, fuel filter can last for up to 80,000 km (50,000 Miles), and when you have a clogged fuel filter, then you may need to change it earlier if you experience any of the following warning signs:

– Trouble starting your car engine, it is the most common sign of a clogged fuel filter.
– Accelerating or Can’t speed over certain speed e.g. 100 km/h, as when you step on the gas to accelerate but the speed doesn’t increase or car struggle to speed up.
– Frequent idling and sputtering, means minor blockage on the fuel filter.
