It doesn’t have one.

Glutton says:

2001+ Eclipse does not come with a Cabin Air filter. Thumbs up so people don’t go buy something they don’t need!

Ryssak18 says:

Hi, do you know where is the filter located in Mitsubishi Galant 1993?

filterheads says:

The 2004 Galant should take our AQ1060 filter. We have an installation on a Prius that should be similar That can be seen by searching: 7sRD5xyOgP8l on YouTube. I can’t find particular information on any small differences the Galant might have but this should be almost the same.

Javier Vargas says:

Does anyone know if the Galant 2004 has a filter? if so, is it in the same place?

filterheads says:

It looks like the 2007 Eclipse does not come equipped with a cabin air filter.

laaavyou27 says:

does this work for 2007 eclipse?

Orlando Lara says:

i never knew my car even had this in it, i havent done it yet but the fact that i may even have one gave me a chuckle, honestly i was trying to change the air filter on my gfs car and i just came across this video, still finding out new things about my car every day. Thanks for the video

julioacostta says:

Have a problem, my 03 eclipse does not have emm.. ( the two thing on the air cabin, the things that u put it out to get the air cabin) its only one piece, like no replacement cabin wtf?

Nathan Poe says:

Thank you!! This glove box was seemingly impossible to get off the hinges until I saw your video.

filterheads says:

We’re glad our video could help!

nighthawker1337 says:

thaanx guys. awesome video.easy to follow

AngelsTakeMe2Heaven says:

Funny part is that they still make a filter for it. I bought one that is designated for the 2006 Eclipse – one of many reason I have littel good to say about MItsubishi or the 2006 Eclipse

jayhater252 says:

So I have the same car as this video does and when you get to the 55 second mark. My car just has plastic in that from that won’t come out.

filterheads says:

When Mitsubishi made the model change in ’06 they took the cabin filter out of the Eclipse.

pablo cancio says:

i have a mitsubishi eclipse 2009 and i cant get the the plastic in the back of the glovebox

Saul ramirez says:

thankx for the reply

filterheads says:

Although every car was made with this housing, only some trim levels have the cover separated from the housing so that it can accept a filter. We don’t know why, sorry.

filterheads says:

You’re welcome! We’re glad you fixed the problem!

Daquan803 says:

Thanks dude !!!! u saved me 50 dollars i thught my A/C was bad but my resister wasent plugged in !

Saul ramirez says:

You’re welcome!

MrRivii says:

but I’ve found that you can buy and install it look on Ebay under “Cabin Filter w/ tray Galant 99-03 Eclipse 00 – 05 Genuine Mitsubishi OEM Part!” full instalation instruction is provided.. but I didn’t get it changing car this year for new eclipse

enesunkie says:

2002 GT, no filter either 🙁

MrRivii says:

I have 2003 eclipse GTS and there is no filter.. this compartment is sealed

trancedsailor says:

Gotcha. My gf has a 2004 Eclipse GT Spyder. She said Midas told her to replace the cabin filter, so I followed your excellent guide, but behind the glovebox where you removed the 2 filter screws, hers has no screws. I tried pulling and it wouldn’t come out. Maybe it’s stuck in there pretty tight? I’ll try again later, but not sure why the screws wouldn’t be there if there are holes for them…

filterheads says:

It usually depends on the trim level that you get when you purchase the car. For example, the RS might not have the filter accessible but the GTS might. Sometimes it’s also a dealer installed option.

trancedsailor says:

Why would some cars have removable filter and others sealed?! I don’t get it.

filterheads says:

The 2006 Eclipse doesn’t normally come with a filter housing and cover, however there seems to be a kit you can buy from the dealer that can be installed in your car. Either way the plastic would have to be cut, however you would need the kit to install a filter after cutting the plastic.

filterheads says:

In your vehicle is sealed it means that it doesn’t have a filter.

EMV62 says:

Mine is also sealed up , no screws and i cant pull out the darn thing , i guess I will have to cut it , aint getting charge 60 bucks for something easy as it looks .

sciter88 says:

Same here. 02 Eclipse GS is also sealed up… Sucks… Great video though

Brothmark says:

MIne is also sealed up and can not be removed WTF?
