It’s awesome that you’re hosting this info for people. My advice is just
delete the balance shafts because that oil pump plug never comes out. You
need to take the motor out to use an impact driver on it (no room), & it’s
easier and cheaper at that point to remove em. .. and nobody ever has that
special timing tensioner tool. Once it feels semi-tight, lock it, pull the
pin on the grenade and ensure that 3.5 – 4.2mm spec is measured correctly.
If it is, the “happy face” is in the right spot.
This good video. Use zip ties to cam gears holding it in place. Are these
special tools still available from the Mitsubishi or chrysler dealer.
