Did you need to spin the cartridge to get it in? Mine is sticking out an inch on my Jeep and won't go anymore… I'm assuming it is because of the taper design

Here's an update: My Mirage sat in the driveway all night. Temperature was 13 degrees, "feels like" 3 degrees. Block heater was on for 2 hours before I turned the car on. Used about 5 cents of electricity. I got an Instant water temp reading of 67 degrees. Close to 100 degrees by the time I was about 1/4 mile down the road. Warm air was coming out of the vents shortly after.
