Just added Instant Shutter Fix to my Amazon affiliate page, because, why wouldn't I?! https://www.amazon.com/shop/scannerdanner

throttle bottle says:

the TCC shudder is likely throwing the crank and cam sensors into mad fits and at 188K I'd suspect worn timing belt with tensioner not holding tight enough adding to the issue.

Traildisc says:

Swaptroniks

Richfield Auto Center says:

I think the misfire is due to the tcc lockup shudder causing a quick slowdown in the engine speed. That’s causing the crank sensor to pick up the slow rev and cause a false misfire. Great video Paul. Watching this makes me want to make more videos.

Cade Boogaard says:

Its amazing that i can tell it shutters everytime while listening to this video in my truck with a sub under the back seat.

Trout Junkie says:

Crown Victoria and grand marquis always had the shutter problems. 2 tubes of that stuff fixed it for another 100K, always.

David Raezer says:

Why not ask the customer if he wants a transmission service. Inform the customer trans is possibly at the end of its service life and new fluid might help or push it over the edge. If it still shudders after the service but shift points are solid a new torque converter might not be too bad.

dan man says:

many year ago in 70 ,add very little brake fluid to trans fluid would fix temp it would soften the piston seal ,and stop cluch slepering ,but would damage more the trans after a long period time …..cluch meterial and metal…..it would cost more to rebuild the transmission for the rebuilder

Tj Turner says:

I swapped some stuff around. Love it
Got a 95 f 150 that does that
Its like it could not decide to go into overdrive or not. So annoying

Mike's Automotive Diagnostics says:

could the rapid rpm change fool the computer to think the misfire was at a particular cylinder?

neil2015999 says:

old ..never been changed spark plugs…?
you always gonna get an intermittant misfire code on older cars…
excellent work guys…
does ketchup…do the same fix…?
way too many autos in the usa

R. Weaver says:

Trying to wrap my head around. Misfire O2 would show rich, and STFT would pull fuel, like a leaking coil to ground or just intermittent breakdown of internal coil not firing under demand. Right?!?
