I think it is but if a computer is saying its bad then you might as well
change all of them out just so you know there all brand new.Make sure the
o2 sensor reads front upstream or rear upstream before you buy.

SebGal says:

On 3g Gt I got the code P0141 BANK 1 sensor 2. Do you know which two of the
four sensors are bank 1 or bank 2? are the downstream ones bank 2? thanks

Vythey Chuon says:

@gred89 Wrong, This is Bank 1 Sensor 1. Bank 2 is near the radiator side
and Bank 1 is near the firewall side. Sensor 1 is before the cat and Sensor
2 is after the cat.

Usc529 (Jay) says:

Its on the left side of the valve cover (what you put your oil in) its a
black 90 degree angle Plastic valve with a hose on it. Its small and cost
about $3.00 at auto zone

Usc529 (Jay) says:

@scragg0x im pretty sure i broke it off or it had already dry rotted

scobby47231 says:

i see it thanks..

East17A says:

gratitude and appreciation 🙂

scobby47231 says:

how to u use socket if the O2 sensor cord or wire is blocking u to put the
socket??

Walter Talledo says:

I’m sorry but I’m a bit confused here. The code p0135 refers to bank 1
sensor 1 FRONT or UPSTREAM (is the same right)?. On the internet says the
code refers to the front O2 bank 1 and the autozone guy told me it was
front of the car. The part # of the sensor I bought is Bosch 13801 which
according to the description says upstream. So, I got the right part, did I?

ninewiz9 says:

Thats very useful. Where did you get the spray??? I cant find it anywhere I
have looked.

Walter Talledo says:

well, I got this code P0135, at AUTOZONE they told me it was bank 1 sensor
1 O2. I already got the part but I need to know exactly where it goes.
Don’t want to replace the wrong one.

East17A says:

after figuring out the code P0403 which is the EGR Control Solenoid
Malfunction .. now i have another Code P0171 it is PVC Valve .. now where
is that located in the Engine ? if any one know pleas help me .. that how i
end up here even that not for what i’m looking for thank to you all every
body wish me luck

Usc529 (Jay) says:

I do think this o2 sensor is the bank 1 sensor 1 but make sure auto zone
gave you the right o2 sensor make sure it says REAR UPSTREAM and not front
upstream

Usc529 (Jay) says:

ok on your car you have 2 upstream sensors and 2 downstream sensors the
part you bought bosch 13801 is for the rear upstream closest to the
firewall, the other sensor is the front upstream. This video is for the rear
upstream bank 1 sensor 1 does that help?

Usc529 (Jay) says:

@jjenningsoh it is a how to if you know how to read.

Ehhh says:

I couldn’t find an angle to work without taking the manifold off mine,
how’d you do that?

Usc529 (Jay) says:

@tochalache $50.00-$70.00 bucks i went to auto zone they were cheaper

superman1997ws6 says:

Tip for people replacing O2 sensors: Don’t tighten the new one very tight.
Make it snug enough so there’s no exhaust leak and leave it. The O2 sensor
has no physical load depending on it. It only has to remain in the exhaust
stream. You might as well not make it harder than necessary to replace it
next time.

Usc529 (Jay) says:

not really sure cant find any info that tells me which is which just know
if you change this one might as well change the one in the front to (2)
upstream and (2) downstream

jjenningsoh says:

I thought this was a how to. These are just random pics. Wtf?

Jimmy Neutron says:

love this song

Walter Talledo says:

hello, can anybody tell me if this the location of bank 1 sensor 1 on a
2002 eclipse gs? Please, I need answers from somebody who has done this
before

David Yo says:

I have an EGR code too! Is the “EGR valve” the same as “EGR Vacuum
Switching Valve Solenoid” cuz that’s what I found on eBay but the mech that
has my car says that’s not the same..

Usc529 (Jay) says:

They sale a o2 sensor socket which has a slot in the side of it.I show it
at 1.07 you can rent them from auto zone or advance if you didnt wanna buy
one

Usc529 (Jay) says:

I used an extention bar and I had to slide it through a small space just to
get it lined up with the o2 sensor. I tried like 5 different angles until I
got the right one.

Usc529 (Jay) says:

@scragg0x oh no you should not have to take the tire off if you have they
same motor i have then you should be able to use and extention like i used.
you might also have trouble getting it out i stripped the treads in mine
and had to buy a whole new catalytic converter.also use a penetrant for a
couple of days then try it.

Usc529 (Jay) says:

Yes you have 2 sensors before the catalytic converter and two after called
downstream.you have a front upstream and a rear upstream one is in the
front by the radiator and the rear is right before the converter by the
firewall and the downstream ones are underneith the car and no i dont have
a video for the downstream o2 sensors they are very easy to replace. The
upstream ones were the most difficult ones.

DrPiterarnett says:

shit music

East17A says:

No the EGR Valve is different its a single piece that located in the rare
of the engine at the ( driver side ) but some how it is visible .. because
the EGR solenoid Valve and vacuum and vacuum control all of them share one
bracket at the left side of the engine (passenger side) you will notice
alot of rubber pipes hooked to them also you will notice few of plastic
clip connectors.

Walter Talledo says:

yeah, It helped a lot. A guy showed me what is the sensor that needs to be
replaced. Now I’m 100% sure of what to do. Your videos are very
instructionals in a way that you can learn that is a job you can do
yourself. Tanks for your patience.

David Yo says:

Nice vids, do you have any for the other two sensors? What’s upstream
anyway? My mech told me that I have to replace the two sensors before/after
the primary catalytic converter, so four.. Shoot me a message, I could use
some help

Usc529 (Jay) says:

no its not the same the egr vacuum is probably a hose or something Egr
valve is a big hunk of medal with two bolts thats near the firewall on the
eclipse near the intake manifold

tochalache says:

Thanks a lot and what is the price for those sensors
