I’ve been daily driving the car for about 6 months now and it only does it
when it’s cold outside, like 45 or lower. But I honestly think they were
just slightly clogged, and still are a little bit, the tick usually goes
away within 2 mins now.
One or more of your lifters is probably bad. It is not a problem, it is
just noisy. The only way you can fix it is taking the head off and testing
each lifter and finding out which ones are bad and replacing them.
Did you find out what was causing it?
Well it’s been about a week and a half since I started it, but yes right
after I changed it, it was very quiet, then it reached normal temp and
stayed quiet for about 4 mins, then got noisy again.
Does it get worse when the engine is at temp? What weight oil is? Did you
put enough in.
