does your outlander have the rockford audio system? the bluetooth that came with the HU or the factory one? check the settings on the HU for answering calls, most HU have an option to automatically answer in-coming calls when connected to a bluetooth device.

I did a kinda similar install on a ’09 Outlander. I got a no-name unit from off Ebay for $490 incl DHL shipping. For the GPS antenna, I just stuck it on the post where the driver door is hinged. It seems to work fine. However, its a pain to see the screen in the day and the sound quality is kinda low.Mine came with a built-in microphone. My steering control for the volume works but I cant get the bluetooth to work. I have to touch the phone icon on the screen to answer the phone.

Esqu3l3to says:

which connection are you reffering to?

Brandon Andrews says:

what does the cable cord connect to on kenwood ktv-817dvd

Esqu3l3to says:

at 7:25? if those are the ones you’re talking about those are the harnesses (power and speaker wires) for the stock radio. the other cables were for the fm modulator that I had previously installed.

K Cappstar says:

Whats the two sets of cables on the rear of the default unit?

Esqu3l3to says:

No they do not, in order for them to work you have to install a wired adapter which they didn’t want.
