Hey either way it goes, I gave plenty of warnings and by following the
video you’ll remove it yourself, alright? But yeah if you want a removal
pic I got one somewhere on my Facebook..

Too bad you didn’t actually show the removal.

I had a noise in my 2003 tc, told it was the hub so I bough it and plan to
do it next weekend- how much you said the 4 bolts of the hub assembly need
to be torqued was it 74 or 274 lb?

adventureoflinkmk2 says:

74 #-ft.

I’m tackling the drivers side by the way as it clicks when I spin the wheel
by hand. I assume that is the snapping sound I heard when I drove it, but
not sure as I never had one of these go bad before..

There’s plenty of wheel bearing/hub diagnostic videos on youtube, watch
several good ones to be sure it is what it is… just for what it’s worth
when both wheels are on the ground and I turn the steering wheel with the
engine running all the way left and right I get clicking noises. I’ve since
got this mostly kicked in the rear-end.

thanks for the reply

No problem, thank you for watching and confirming that this is true for
2003 Panthers as well 🙂 Hope your repair goes well.

Dan Graveen says:

Thanks for posting.. I have an ’03 with the same hub assembly, which I
think they used with 2003 up to 2011.

adventureoflinkmk2 says:

If it’s the same as it is on my 2004 GM, I can make a video on it..
otherwise one would have to donate me a ’99 CV, lol. As a hint tho you need
to remove the rear bench (elbow grease gets the seat out and a 19mm socket
gets the back rest off), remove the cover over the window brake light, and
remove several push pins on the package tray to get there. the rest is up
to you.

Ford Motorcraft complete assembly, yessir.

n310ea says:

Is that upper control arm an OEM from Ford, or is it an aftermarket?

SACKMANE92 says:

The only video I found switching speakers was trash

SACKMANE92 says:

Will you do a video on replacing rear speakers in 99 crown Vic?
