How do I get the lower off? Have same motor, remove that bolt, then the 4 other bolts? And put it in reverse? Thanks
Here's something I learned. loop a ratchet strap around the top of the head and the lower unit. And you got yourself a a way to hold the lower to put it back up in the splines
As a 1st time boat owner all I can say is damn I need to learn.
We have a river boat 18 ft fish rite only fresh water with an evinrude 50 2 stroke ran great up until we smoked an unmarked rock that was 3 inches under the water we were going full throttle and smoked it alliterated the lower unit engines RPMs shot to the moon and we killed it the lower unit is now missing a large section of it and we replaced it with a brand new Yamaha 4 stroke I’d still like to save a evinrude any ideas?
We must have things in common sir after rebuilding the Yanmar I said head be kind of cool to rebuild a boat motor and then I find you tinkering with one well done sir
just stick to workin on boats bc your not good at making videos
Did that job by myself on an Evinrude 150. It's rough putting it back together for sure.
