My Mustang 2 air ride install for the ls swap

I started the Mustang 2 air ride install for the ls swap that you guys have been watching me tare apart and collect parts for in the past videos. If you are new to the channel I urge you to watch the entire playlist on my channel so you can catch up on this project car I dragged home a few months ago. In my last video I go over all the parts in the Mustang 2 front suspension that I ordered from Speedway motors that I will be installing in the next few videos. It’s a complete kit from hub to hub with air ride that will allow me to safely install my ls swap into this 75 year old 1949 Chevy Styleline deluxe coupe. In this video I start the install off by prepping the front frame rails for the Mustang 2 crossmember to be welded in. The frame rails have to be completely stripped of all brackets and be completely smooth so the crossmember can tightly fit against the stock frame. The factory brackets are spot welded from the factory so to remove them I have to drill out all the spot welds and knock the brackets off. To be able to weld the new crossmember in the rails have to be void of any grease or rust so that’s also what you will see me doing in this video cleaning up the firewall and removing all the old undercoating and rust.

It’s rare that I watch a 26 minute video on YouTube, but I enjoyed every minute of it. I loved all of the detail. It really makes someone like me, who knows nothing about restoring classic cars, appreciate all of the work that goes into it. Keep up the good work, JR! I’m going to visit the Atomic Speed Garage soon to see it in person. Again, awesome video!

The car has come a long way, it will be cool to see it cruise the back roads and streets! Hell, you might even keep this thing?
