Lower Unit Removal & Water Pump Replacement on 1996 Mercury 115 hp 2-Stroke Outboard

For motors with serial numbers 0D283222 and above. I hope this video helps someone. I found a lot of videos online but none of my exact motor. One piece of advice I could give is to check your water pump before you actually order the replacement kit to see what parts you need. I ordered the Sierra 18-3570 for $52 when I could have likely just ordered the genuine Mercury impeller and gaskets by itself for cheaper. Also, go out and buy the Mercury 2-4-C grease (or order online) before starting. None of the stores around me had it so I ended up using marine grease for trailer bearings which likely is not the best stuff to use. You can use pretty much any RTV sealant. I used RTV black (permatex). I also used blue loctite on the lower unit stud bolts to make removal easier in the future. With the parts I was able to complete this project for $67.
