Questions & Answers – Inspired by actual YouTube comments:

Q: Can I leave a thoughtful comment, tip, or constructive criticism regarding your video?
A: Sure.

Q: Will you advise me on a particular problem I’m having that is similar to what I saw in the video?
A: Depends.

Q: I’m upset that you forced me to watch your free video and through the use of subtle mind control you removed my ability to press the stop button. Now, what are you going to do to make this right?
A: Send you an invoice?

Q: One time I used a potato for a camera and videotaped two kids jumping on a trampoline – it was easy. I’ve never edited a video but can I comment about how easy it is?
A: LOL

Q: I have problems with obsession and you are my new BFF. Will you talk to me 24/7/365?
A: No.

Q: Where do you live? Where do you live? Where do you live?
A: Sigh, see above.

Q: Can I meet with you?
A: Dude.

Q: I’m a professional and as such I have a deep belief that ONLY professionals are allowed to do what you did in the video. I have a God given right to charge excessively for it too. Are you professionals?
A: No.

Q: You didn’t show the circuit-breaker being turned off – therefore it didn’t happen. Won’t people get poked with 120 volts from their finger up to their elbow if they don’t turn the breaker or switch off?
A: Yes, we suspect they would.

Q: I’m 80 and have 85 years-experience. You did it wrong in your video. Will you remove your video from YouTube?
A: No, and your experience makes you sound old and inflexible.

Q: I did a safety-audit regarding your video – can I post all of the unsafe things you did?
A: It’s a safe bet we’ll delete your comments.

Q: I’m a professional and your video diminishes my ability to earn a living. Can I leave a comment whining about that?
A: Hmm, let’s see. No.

Q: I’m smart and you’re dumb. I know everything there is to know about the subject you showed in the video and I want to blather on about how much I know. Can I talk about me?
A: You need to get yourself a girl, mate.

Q: I’m 40 and live in my mom’s basement. I’m feeling poorly about myself and I want to take it out on you with complete anonymity, can I do that?
A: Sure. As long as you don’t mind us deleting your comment and banning you from the channel.

Q: Hey! I have a right to say whatever I want don’t I?
A: Yes. Yes you do. See above.

hey guys thanks for the info- what was the year of this 150 merc??? and what about disconnecting the shifter rod?

JP says:

LMFAO silicone.

George Francis says:

This video should be removed. This guy does several things incorrectly and makes the process more difficult than necessary. Use of tools and reassembly is incorrect. Never silicone the lower unit. Install impellers on drive shaft then the housing is much easier and less margin of error and on and on……….. he obviously has no marine engine repair training.

darryl mcleman says:

Thanks for good tips.It is possible to have a bad impeller that will pump water with the hose pressure adapter but not pump with boat in water or motor leg in barrel.

Varnce says:

This video is missing a lot of steps

jap338kx says:

how long should a cold engine take to start pumping water through the telltale hole?

john ropeleski says:

there is no need for using silicone sealant along the split line of the housing.the only spot you use sealant is on the edge of the lower unit, right behind the water pump,on the exhaust side of the pump.thsis prevents exhaust gases from going into the pump area..

Tony S says:

Always leave lower unit in gear so you can turn prop to align splines

Jim K says:

sorry but…NEVER use an impact on a prop nut. And remove drain plug before vent. Less messy
