Actually, the blower motor on my 2004 Ford Explorer is behind the glovebox rather than in the engine compartment. Thank goodness!

You just save me a lot a money

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows this particular repair. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

teepic9 says:

Do you have a video of replacing the horn on a 1999 Ford Explorer?

DrummerEtc says:

Saved me $150 bones. Thanks!

1aauto says:

You may want to check along the firewall and under the dash to see if there’s a broken or loose vacuum line somewhere in the system, which might also cause this type of a situation. Hope this helps you out. Have a great day! 1aauto.com

Spencer Williams says:

Hello, I was watching your video and wondering if my blower motor is bad. I have ac coming from the defrost and in the back vents of the Explorer… but the dash vents do not blow… is the motor the issue?

IbanezCV says:

Great, helpful vid. Thanks for saving me about $200.

TheHomeGMan says:

This vid was spot-on. Working outdoors in wind and snow yesterday(in MN-necessity), I followed the steps from this video by memory, and had warm air moving in my Explorer within 30 minutes of popping the hood. Getting the air box out of the lower grommets was the toughest part. Thank you!

You may want to have the code pulled to see what triggering the light.

1aauto says:

You may want to add it back on.

i lost the tube at 4:21 in the video while putting in your product. do i need it?

1aauto says:

Thanks for watching Gary, have a great day!

Gary Fields says:

This does not cover my 2004 Mountaineer. The blower is located under the glovebox, not in the engine compartment. It’s actually easier than what’s in the video.

Darlene Grayson says:

Hi I have a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer that has the Adv Track light stuck on. It seems to be affecting the operating of the engine, etc. Can you help. I would be very grateful.

Nora Van Alstine says:

this video helped us out!! thank you!!

1aauto says:

The should be 3-4 bolts that hold it in place. If you disconnect the wire and take those screws out it should come right out for you. We carry new Ford Explorer heater blower motors with free shipping on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

KOSEKTOM says:

what is the process for replacing the blower motor inside the passenger compartment? My 2002 and has the motor inside the vehicle.

1aauto says:

The previous own more than likely by-passed the heater core because it was leaking. Thats’ more than likely why you have no heat and it smells like antifreeze in the cab of the truck.

Cambo212 says:

Is there any reason why someone would unhook the two hoses going into the firewall of a Ranger and bypass those hoses? does that have anything to do with the heater? My ranger blows air but its cold air when i have the heat selected and it smells a little like antifreeze.

1aauto says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to make this particular repair, however there should be six small screws that hold it in place. We carry new replacement blower motors on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393 Part Number: 1AHCX00094

Wesley Clendennen says:

I have a 99′ F150 and the a/c blower motor has gone out, do you have a video to replace it, it doesn’t really match this video and my cruise control has stopped working, any suggestions to fix it?

1aauto says:

You may want to check the power going to the blower motor to see if it has power to it, if it does then the blower motor may have gone bad.

luis84346 says:

I always watch you videos they have help me a lot, but I got a question my friend has a 98 explorer and his front vents stop working but the rear work fine what could b the problem is it a fuse/relay or the motor that he has to change

1aauto says:

You don’t have to as long as it doesn’t leak. You basically just have to move it over a few inches to get at the blower motor bolts. We carry new blower motors on our website. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

2004 models have a blower motor located under the dash on the passenger side, not under the hood.
