What’s the purpose of changing this? Did u run the outboard without water? I’m trying to find info. I took my tracker out yesterday and as I launch the boat I turned the motor on not realizing the motor was still up and not in the water. It ran for about 20 seconds out of the water. I shut the motor off and lowered it. Turned it on and looked for the water to piss out and it did. Should I be worried that I caused some type of damage? Will doing this job correct any damage that could’ve been caused?

hey my kit comes with a black puck and white cylinder thing.. what are they and do they need to be replaced? I think one is called the impeller base? but im not sure what the other is or where it goes. i know where the black puck goes.

Thanks for the info, I guess a 2014 60hp should be almost the same

Richard Dafoe says:

Look very good thanks

Geo Bastis says:

dear friend. I have the same outboard but i miss the manual. Do you by any chance have the impeller's code? Thank you in advance

Excellent video. Thank you. I have a 2006 50 horse Bigfoot. Would that be pretty similar to yours? Thank you

Marty Epperly says:

Do you know if there's much, if any, difference between your motor and a 2016 60hp?

Preston Saenz says:

Very informative, helped me out a lot when I get ready to change out ,great video, water pump still works great on my 2014 50 hp 4 stroke, do you only change them out when they go bad

Chad Lambert says:

Thanks man. Fixing to do mine

dale brown says:

Nice!! Just plain ole simple instructions. Well done!

Richard Mehalick says:

Nice video. Did you ever have to take out the VST (where the high pressure fuel pump sits) and needed to remove the middle cowling? I can’t find any videos on that.

John White says:

thank you , great video

Joe Romang says:

Excellent video overall but I think there is an orientation to how the fins on the impeller are supposed to be installed either clockwise or counterclockwise.

Christopher Maupin says:

Wish other people that made videos would be this detailed. Nice to know the little things to look out for

Nick Rogers says:

Great video! My tell tail disappeared from my 2012 60hp 4-stroke Bigfoot on our day at the lake last week. There were never any heating issues that popped up, so hopefully it's just mud dauber crap plugging the tell line and not an impeller issue, but I was really happy to find a solid video on how to replace the impeller just in case!
