I have a 1994 Ford Taurus GL and lights on the dimmer switch, headlight switch, rear window switch, and now the heater switch are out when dash lights are turned on… all instrument panel gauge lights, speedometer, fuel, temp all work but wanted to know how to fix the other lights ..thanks

ClusterFixWashington says:

Yes, it is actually an LED and they regularly just don’t burn out unless something else caused it.

infinera06 says:

Looks like Ford made the 2005 model easier to get access to the cluster. In the 2001 model, there is no slack whatsoever in the wire connections to the cluster. You’d have to stick both hands behind the cluster and feel for the 2 connectors …and there is nothing to grab on to to remove them. I hate Ford.

accuratemech says:

Great video. Does the cluster need to be sent in to replace the check engine light bulb?

Stephen Godar says:

Thanks for the excellent video. Your instructions were invaluable. Replaced the burnt out lights in my daughter’s Taurus.

Lawrence Carter says:

Thank you. Just got a Taurus (2007) and the fuel readout changes whenever the check charging system light comes on. I was told that the cluster needed to be replaced. Also my battery drains if left connected overnight. Now I can do it myself. Great tutorial.
