DIY 94 mercury grand marquis light switch wiring harness connector

if this saved you a buck throw your boy some change…. cash app. $SoSoKustom69

My lights on my car started acting funny. First dash lights would turn off or dim, then night time running brake lights stopped working plus brake lights. I wasn’t getting any power to rear lights. Headlights kept working fine. Install was simple took me 1 hr and half that time was looking up color wiring diagram and picking up parts.
Light control cost me $55
connector pigtail $12.99
Labor… 1hr off my time.

Do your research before trying any repair and follow thru once you start. This is how I did my repair. Hope it helps you (DO AT YOUR OWN RISK)

Your brake lights are only supposed to come on when you hit the brake.

Thanks. Your video really helped today for the same car 1994 grand marquis. My friend installed a new headlight switch – the part inside the rotates when the knob is turned, wasn't turning.. The lights in the car wouldn't shut off. The rotating part had to be turned by hand past a certain point – it sort of just broke free and was then on the correct track. I don't know why it was like that for his replacement part… But after that everything works and life is good.
