my ford motor runs like chitty chitty bang bang. when it goes its fastest it can pass for being parked .

Neil Ouellette says:

Other videos on YouTube show mechanics disconnecting everything. Including fuel rail lines, throttle body and throttle cables etc.. etc.. Unneeded extra work. ECANIX GARAGE right here is the best, easiest way of doing your intake manifolds. Wish I knew this 8 yrs ago when I did my first one. Have to do one tomorrow on my 2003 Grand Marquis. Doing new plugs, new coils and a new temp sensor, thermostat at the same time. Thanks again!

Neil Ouellette says:

I just paid $111.88 w/free shipping on EBay. Seller eccppautoparts. Only took 1 week to receive. It also came with the parts package, thermostat, bolts, proper manifold plug and all the other goodies needed to install. I've installed one before on a past Grand Marquis. This is a good short cut to install which cuts down on time. Great video!

Tony Stewart says:

Did the car lose it's prime when removing the fuel rail

johnmichael karma says:

excellent vid sir. why do such work with your watch on?? thumbs up #249

li'l shaith says:

…dude… Thanks!!! That heat shield is the only thing stopping me..i watched a vid of a newer model and it didnt have that (or maybe cuz it was a vid for a Crown Vic?).. that shield is the only thing holding the manifold in… Will now be able to get it did!

Drac Ula says:

I'm old and dead….but this guy is good. Communication is the key and he can do it. Kudo's! The ability to freeze frame with You Tube is priceless.

FlyFisherMan says:

Great instructional video, thanks!

Isacc Lima says:

Your the man!

720 Engineering says:

Fantastic video! Just went through about 2/3 of this today on my 2002 Crown Vic. This would have helped to see beforehand! Small bolts and large nut on the EGR are both corroded on there pretty good so I'm going to try and soak in PB Blaster…

Aaron mann says:

I was doing the gasket today and figured out the bad news. My intake manifold is shot. See it in my video. Biggest piece of shit idea Ford ever had…beside discontuing the crown Victoria line.

Princess Haley and Dada Adam Toy Story says:

I like it, skipped all the BS and right to what you need to do. No repositioning of camera, or watching you change your sockets, etc, just to the point…Like it …was a BIG help in my first manifold swap!!!

thegreatecb says:

We're all the intake manifold bolts the same length?

Carlos Posada says:

How did you ACTUALLY take that back bracket off. Climb on the engine? Under? Passenger side? I must know. Please.

Dennis Forcier says:

Thanks! I feel like I could do it now. (I dunno about that back bracket, though.)

Charlie Wilson says:

Nice informative video. I especially liked the technique of removing the throttle body with throttle and cruise control cables attached without removing them and moving the fuel rail without removing the main fuel line. Big time savers. Looks like a flat rate mechanic at work here. 🙂

Joseph Gilliland says:

I did everything and replaced the gaskets. Now I'm getting a P0720 code. Is there a connection missed or possibly damaged when I put it all back together to make the code show? The output speed sensor circuit is the p0720 code.

wrdmndan akdude says:

how is that intake working out for you i bought one from a&m auto off ebay , noticed oil in my spark plug holes so had to change valve cover gaskets , still working on passenger side , had to remove passenger motor mount and raise engine to access valve cover bolts….it is also recommended you not to use anything abrasive to remove gasket material …get permatex gasket remover it works great …good video very informative

Kalin Friemoth says:

Helped me alot i really like the way you run it all down for us thanks man

Aquarius 83 says:

My 97 Crown Vic needs the intake replaced and now I see just what needs to be done. Great video and explanations.

zman90 says:

Awesome!!!!! You took all the major anxiety out of my thinking that it was too huge of a job to undergo. Great job and very inspiring. I feel a huge amount better. Thank you very much!

Karl Rutter says:

I can't get that back bracket off to save my life. Is there any other advice you can give? That thing is driving me insane.
