@jordy19892012 I repainted the roof myself lst summer, but messed up the
clear coat, hopefully this summer I plan on repainting more of the car
myself.

Jordy Spaur says:

Do you still have this car? I have the EXACT same car, only mine is a
Taurus, and I don’t have the gauge cluster like you do. Im very jealous. I
have the one where it only has the speedometer, gas, and temp gauge. I have
been trying to find a cluster like you have. Found on on ebay, but
hessitant to buy it. How much do you know about your car? Do you like it? I
love mine. And have you had it painted? The hood paint was nice. My paint
is shot.

Metallica3636 says:

I bet you that those parts had a 20 year warrenty

heliarche says:

I notice you’re using a stick for a hood prop since the nitro cylinders are
worn out.A trick for that is to bend the rod that slides in and out just a
bit(just a bit)when they’re extended.This makes them jam up when you put
the hood up and they should stay up then.

DemolitionMissions says:

Yes I still have this car. It was my first car for high school and is still
a great car. I know it pretty well now since I do most of my own repairs to
it. The paint on mine needs redone though.

Riptides99 says:

Ha! This is an all-around awesome video. The frickin’ mop handle to hold up
the hood, check. Having to remove the reservoirs, horn, alternator, and
main belt every time you need to work on the passenger side of a Gen1
Taurus under the hood, it’s there. Oh and an A+ on showing everything in a
step by step format not only while replacing but explaining the water pump
and power steering pump.

Good Job man..i also need to repair my water pump and my thermostat for my
96 for thunderbird looking forward to that project….

Jon Hart says:

just thought i would post on here you mean serpantine belt not timeing

Nick Myers says:

Hey I found your videos through Jordy’s channel. Very cool to see another
Gen 1 Sable still on the road. I own an 87 Taurus GL 3.0L that I picked up
for $100 (also have a 2000 Taurus SEL as my daily driver). Great repair
video…I know those pumps will be in the car’s future.

Erik Oldfield says:

how many miles dose it have?

Jordy Spaur says:

Where did you get it the paint done? I was thinking of getting mine done. I
have videos on my car, you should check them out if you want. Not the best,
but might be something that your interested in.

TheHutchPost says:

power steering is to bad. My Ford Explorer makes that grunting sound when
you turn the wheel, but that’s only when the power steering is low, and it
is often. Mainly because I have a power steering leak.

Jordy Spaur says:

So, do you have painting equiptment or something?

DemolitionMissions says:

@jordy19892012 Nope. I hand sanded it, bought spray paint that matched the
color and put down a couple layers, sanded a lil more. Then added the clear
coat layers. Looked pretty close to the rest of the car. Although I would
say its prolly good to polish and wax the new paint job to keep rain from
wearing on it so fast.
