What issue were you having? My GL450 2007 has a sound issue. The raido/CD comes on for a few mins and then no sound. The CD is still running but no sound. My guess is the amp is gone bad. Did you have similar issue?

I got the same problem. But the cause is not coming from those rubber grommets but rather the the rain water escape hose on both side of the fender got blocked or restricted lead to an overflow back in the bay. I have to replace the amp and the sam unit as well.
