This is a very good video on not just C240 ecm removal but also this video will cover ML320, C320 and E320 models. I work for a company in Michigan: ECU TECHNOLOGIES and we repair and reprogram engine computers for mostly Mercedes Benz. OH…total cost was $600.
I eventually had a new ECM put into it. The auto shop that I went to in San Jose, California copied the data from my old (defective) ECM and transferred the data to the new ECM. Everything works fine now. Car was able to finally pass smog. That was the reason I had to replace the ECM. There were “monitors” that would not reset when I had it smogged. If those monitors don’t reset, your car won’t pass smog.
