Mercedes R129 – License Plate Bulb Change, Inspect for Bad Wiring and Rust on SL Benz

How to change the license plate light bulb and inspect the area for rust and\or bad wiring. It applies to SLs, including the 300SL, 320SL, 500SL, and 600SL for pre-facelift years of production 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, and 1995 and facelift years of 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001.

The video will be helpful for those:
1. Changing the license plate light bulbs, and/or
2. Replacing a broken license plate plastic light lens cover
3. Checking for bad wiring
4. Checking for rust around the license plate light cover
