The turn signals and emergency flashers on my 1997 Mercedes C230 went dead. Replacing the emergency flasher switch was supposed to fix it, but didn’t. See Part 2 for the actual fix.

So, was your door lock switch next to the hazards working before you tried
to swap the switch unit?
I lost blinkers, door locks and wipers all at once.
