I was follow successfully every step up to connecting video cable to the radio. But here was surprise: there was no green cable and back of my radio does not look like in your video. Is any way I can send you a photo and you will let me know where to connect Fakra cable, if possible. My car is Mercedes Benz C300 Year 2008
I want to ask if you install the camera in the back plate only one light works?
Green fakra originally installed goes to the UCI socket in glove compartment. Using adapter UCI – USB you can watch movies from pendrive. I did the same – disconnected original green fakra and connected camera green fakra. View comes up on the screen… but there is another problem.. when engine is started camera view after about 1min disappears… someone knows why it so happens? Is that due to Video In Motion lock?

Hey man Great video and hopefully hepful.. I ordered a generic wireless Magellan camera and Magellan 7" screen for my 2014 C300 sport… even though I have gps, I have no gps. So I was looking myself and I guessed fuse 71, 15amp but it says that's for cigar lighter??? Would that be ok… u read my mind because that's what you choose, however mine is connecting to a GPS UNIT and needs reverse lights or wiring??? Can I tap into one of the license plate bulb wiring? There's two wires brown and white. To my knowledge brown is + and white is negative….??? Would this work? Please help? Thanks

I learn a whole lot thank you. but my radio system doesn’t acknowledge my engine is on, when I listen to music for about 30min, it show something like “turn on engine or system will shut down in 3 min” while I AM ACTUALLY DRIVING. My car has a rear view camera and I doesn’t work, and I can’t set my time. What could be actual problem here please.? It’s an exam same car with the Mercedes in the video, I need solution comrade.
A 2012 C300 uses led chip boards for the license plate lights instead of bulbs. Gain a backup camera, lose one light. Is there a way around this issue, or is changing the lighting setup the only way?

This video was really helpful in installing it by myself. The only question i wanna ask is about the license plate light. If you have led bulb in the license plate light. Does that melt the camera wire because both are pretty close to each other. Thanks

Hey Raymond. Thanks so much for all the content. I’ve hooked everything up exactly as you did. When I put the car in reverse, I just get a black screen with the directional guidance lines, as well as a note saying “check your surroundings”. I made sure all my settings match yours, I checked every connection from the trunk connections to the back of the head unit and everything else in between. No luck. When I took the head unit out, there was nothing plugged into the green port. What could I be missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to text me as well. 360-481-7261. Addicted to your vids thank you. One question, the view angle at 23:19 seems very narrow ( i mean you can see only a few meters away), mine is also like that. Is there an adjustment/setting to make it wider or is it just about the quality of the cam? Thnx

Just ordered the camera 2 days ago and the camera I revived had the cables routed correctly and the plastic was already cut to get the cable into the trunk..
